Ian M.

L'HEUREUX

Ian was born and raised in Sanford, Maine, and graduated from Sanford High School. Ian left Maine briefly to attend Norwich University, The Military College of Vermont, where he spent four years as a member of the Corps of Cadets and trained with the school's NROTC detachment before graduating in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science. Afterward, Ian returned to Maine and worked for a year as a Juvenile Program Worker at Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland, before entering the University of Maine School of Law in 2015.

While attending law school, Ian gained first-hand clinical experience in the criminal justice system by working on both sides of the Bar, first as a Student Attorney for the Kennebec County District Attorney's Office in Augusta and then for the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic in Portland, where he represented clients in criminal defense and family matters. During his second and third years of law school, Ian also received specialized training in Trial Advocacy and twice represented Maine in Boston at the Northeast Regionals for the Texas Young Lawyers Society National Trial Competition.

Ian graduated from the University of Maine School of Law. Ian represents clients in courts ranging from Portland to Aroostook County and is proud to have the responsibility of helping individual Mainers through what can be the most difficult chapters of their lives. He is a member of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Bath-Brunswick Bar Association.

When he's not working Ian can often be found outside fishing on Maine's lakes or trekking across the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
